UP election results: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said people’s mandate should be respected
10 MARCH: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the BJP’s stellar performance in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
He said, ‘BJP is ready to create history under the leadership of PM Modi. This is the mandate of development and blessings of the people.” Adityanath said during his victory speech in Lucknow.
He thanked people for making him win with majority and said that they will form government in UP, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand, under the leadership of PM Modi.
Adityanath also said that opposition was conspiring against them “they were conspiring against us, When we were fighting COVID-19… By making us win, people have once again voted for nationalism, good governance. We will continue to work on these issues,” Adityanath said.
According to Election Commission trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in 249 seats and has become the only party to get a second term in three decades.
