CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government is creating a State Level IT cadre to execute various projects such as Digital India, under National e-Governance program, to transform the state into digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Applications were invited for 324 posts of various categories including Senior System Manager (SSM), System Manager (SM), Assistant Manager (AM) and Technical Assistant (TA).
Disclosing this today, Mr. Alok Shekhar, Secretary, Governance Reforms and Public Grievances revealed that the written examination for the IT Cadre posts will be conducted on 12.09.2020 (Saturday) in SAS Nagar Mohali. Timing of the test would be from 11 am to 1 pm and the candidates would be required to report at 9 am to go through the required security and social distancing checks.
The admit cards would be available for download from September 7th, 2020 onwards using the link on the website of the department or directly clicking on the link https://ctestservices.com/DGR/Principal
Mr. Alok Shekhar further said that IT Cadre will provide impetus to implement enterprise architecture in all Government departments and functionaries in order to facilitate interoperability, to avoid duplicity of efforts and wastage of time by rationalizing the redundancies. The Cadre will, in addition, help departments in the integration of various departmental services on digital platforms like mSewa, Digilocker, Sewa Kendras and GeM/e-Procurement. The newly recruited officials will play a pivotal role in process re-engineering of various State Government Departments and PSUS.
