PAS will start from September 21
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab school education department has made all the arrangements for the Punjab Achievement Survey (PAS). The survey is being conducted from September 21 to October 3.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the school education department said that the survey is being conducted to assess the learning outcomes of the students of government and government aided schools. Punjab Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla has directed to the officers of the department to make survey a complete success and according his guidelines all preparations have been finalized. All officers and teachers have been assigned duties for this survey and the services of Guardian of Governance is being sought for its success. A campaign has already been launched to motivate students to participate in the survey and they have been made aware of its future benefits. According to the spokesperson, the students are likely to show great enthusiasm in this unique effort of the education department.
According to the spokesperson the survey will be conducted for class I to XII. For first class students there will be 10 questions for each subject while, for second to fifth class there will be 15 questions for each subject. Each question will be of 2 marks. According to the spokesperson, for students of class VI to X, each paper will have 20 questions and one paper will have 40 marks. The primary school survey examination will start on September 21 and will be ending on September 25 while the survey of students from class VI to X will start on September 21 and end on September 26. Surveys for the XI and XII will begin on September 21 and end on October 3.
