CCPCR celebrates Independence day celebration with CCI Children
CHANDIGARH: Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights celebrated 75th Independence Day with children of Child care Institutions (boys & girls). The Commission ensured that all children participate in the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahostav. The printed hardcopy of the children’s Rashtriya Gaan Certificates printed by CCPCR ensured that each child gets the certificate as token of participation in national level independence celebrations. The certificates were awarded to children during the celebration. As part of the celebration, children showcased their dancing and singing skills through the cultural programme.
Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights on the occasion of 75th Independence day also launched Child Friendly Corner. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, CCPCR , “As part of the Commissions endeavour to make Chandigarh a Child Friendly City, CCPCR has been setting Child-friendly corners featuring play and learning material in 250 schools, and GMCH-32 hospital. Continuing with the objective, CCPCR has established a child friendly corner at CWC. Ms Niti Mohan, Empanelled Consultant, CCPCR said that the children’s evidence was crucial in many cases and getting information from them in a friendly manner was possible with the establishment of an exclusive play area for them.
