DPS TO CM FLAGS OFF RALLY FROM NAYAGAON TO CHAPPARCHIRI ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

JUGNI CULTURAL AND YOUTH WELFARE CLUB, S.A.S. NAGAR & HERITAGE CULTURAL AND WELFARE SOCIETY ORGANIZE RALLY

MOHALI: A cycle rally dedicated to Independence Day and Mission Fateh was organized today by Jugni Cultural and Youth Welfare Club, S.A.S. Nagar and Heritage Cultural and Welfare Society, S.A.S. Nagar.

The rally was flagged off by the Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Gurinder Singh Sodhi from Nayagaon and culminated at Chapparchiri. The Deputy Principal Secretary himself peddled all the way with the participants and exhorted all to strictly adhere to the health protocols with regard to wearing of masks when venturing out, washing of hands for 20 seconds with soap, Maintaining social distance and desisting from hand shaking in order to be safe from COVID-19 pandemic. Today’s cycle rally was a symbolic gesture to create awareness amongst the masses about the paramount significance of health and safety protocols and it’s strict adherence to keep this deadly virus at bay in order to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

At Chapparchiri, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister was felicitated by various youth clubs. Among others honoured included three special guests namely Harjinder Singh Grewal (National Awardee Best Teacher Sports Organizer Education Department, Punjab), NRI 2/Lt. Ajit Pal Singh (Ontario) from Canadian Army, and S. S. Teacher (National Hockey player from Nabha) Baljit Singh.

The occasion saw President Jugni Cultural and Youth Welfare Club, S.A.S. Nagar Devinder Singh Jugni and President Heritage Cultural and Welfare Society, S.A.S. Nagar Harpreet Singh being present.
