delegation of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal met new Joint Commissioner of MCC

CHANDIGARH, 5 SEPTEMBER: A delegation of MC Co-ordination Committee of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal holds meeting with the new Joint Commissioner, MCC, Sh. Shamboo Rathi, HCS, apprising him about Chandigarh Beopar Mandal and pending Trader’s issues.

While welcoming the new Joint commissioner Sh. Charanjiv Singh, President, CBM on behalf of traders of the city  briefed him about this sole apex welfare body of traders of city which has representatives of more than  80 Market Associations and 25 trade association of city .President CBM  told the officer  that sector markets require beautification, up gradation and cleanliness to compete with shopping malls and megastores which are opening in and around the city. Markets must be provided with fancy lights, sitting benches, tiles where ever broken should be replaced and toilets should be renovated and properly maintained and parking space be road marked for effective parking 

Sh. Sanjeev Chadha, General Secretary cum Chairman, MC Co-ordination Committee, CBM said that unauthorized Vendors who have again started encroaching pathways and parking areas of markets, should be removed or shifted to Vendor Zones immediately 

Sh. Radhey Lal Bajaj, Finance Secretary, CBM said that parking problem in the city markets is increasing day by day. Apart from Sector-17, other markets of the city also need expansion of parking facility either by way of multistory parking or surface community parking either at backside or at adjoining vacant places. 

Sh. Bhupinder Narad, Advisor, CBM said that system of E-Challans with photographs without lifting of goods should be introduced to save man power of MCC and breakage of  items confiscated by M C 

Sh. Kamal Suri and Sh. Sushil Bansal both Secretaries, CBM assured new officer on behalf of CBM  of extending  full cooperation in all positives steps to be  taken up by the Corporation as well as other welfare activities undertaken by M C  for healthy growth of Commerce in the City.
