CHANDIGARH, 27 JAN: The library of DAV College Sector-10 Chandigarh and RAAH, the Library Club brought alive the colours and joys of Basant Panchmi in a celebration. The event began with Saraswati Pooja (Pushpanjali) which was held in the premises of the library. Himanshi, the President of RAAH- The Library Club and Vanshika, the Club’s General Secretary were the comperers. They sought the blessings of Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. They inspired the students to uplift their personality and widen their outlook. Students from SAPTAK the music club of the college presented Saraswati Vandana in their melodious voice. College librarian Mrs. Deepti Madaan welcomed everyone. Focussing on Lotus, Book and Veena held in the hands of Goddess Saraswati, she motivated the students to enlighten their minds with knowledge. Everyone present in the event gave pushpanjali to Maa Saraswati. The event in the library ended with vote of thanks by Yash Sharma, joint secretary of RAAH the Library Club. This was followed by kite flying in the palm garden of the college. It was greatly participated and enjoyed.
