Punjab Ratna and writer Colonel D.S. Cheema gave life mantra to the youth
CHANDIGARH, 16 NOVEMBER: DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh and RAAH, the library club of the college organized a motivational talk session on 15-11-2022. The topic of the session was ‘I am better than I think I am’. Col. D.S. Cheema, a retired defence personnel and a noted management expert and an author was the keynote speaker.
The event started with Vanshika, General Secretary RAAH and Yash Soni, executive member of RAAH- the library club with their inaugural address. Himanshi, president RAAH- The library club apprised the audience about the activities of RAAH. This was followed by librarian Mrs. Deepti Madaan who highlighted the credentials of Col. Cheema and praised the team members of RAAH for their efforts. Principal Dr. Pawan Sharma addressed the audience and motivated the students to pursue their goals wholeheartedly.
The keynote speaker, Col. Cheema exalted the students to undertake those things which delight them. He advised them not to indulge in overthinking and stay away from hurry, worry and greed as these are stress givers. The keynote speaker also dwelt upon law of neglect, law of change, law of minimum and farmer’s law which states as you sow so shall you reap. He exhorted them to think and act better and bigger. Giving some examples, he motivated them to pursue ahead with confidence and determination. The students took keen interest and sought answers to their queries from Col. Cheema. The talk ended with a vote of thanks by Yash Soni, the executive member of the library club.
