CHANDIGARH, 29 MAY: Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in the village of Jahawarke in Mansa district on Sunday. Two people were also injured as a result of the gunfire.

Police suspect the gangsters’ role in the attack on Mossewala. Recently, gangsters who have settled in Canada have made ransom calls to many singers and Punjabi actors.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu Moose Wala aka Sidhu Moosewala had contested the 2022 Punjab Assembly election with a Congress ticket from Mansa constituency and lost his first poll to Dr. Vijay Singla of the AAP. Interestingly, Dr. Singla was recently dismissed from the Punjab Cabinet on corruption charges.
