CBM demanded relief to Traders by notifying OTS on Punjab pattern for disposal of all pending old VAT cases

CBM delegation called on AETC

CHANDIGARH, 23 APRIL: On the initiative of Sh. Sanjay Tandon, Ex-President and Senior Leader BJP, a delegation of CBM consisting of Sh. Charanjiv Singh, Sh. Ramkaran Gupta, Sh. Sanjeev Chadha accompanied by Sh. Dhirender Tyal, Spokesperson, BJP yesterday called on Sh. Randhir Singh, AETC within request to initiate the process for implementation of one time scheme on Punjab pattern to dispose of old pending VAT Assessment case.

It was explained to him that Traders/Industrialists are under panic due to notices of Lac of Rupees which are being served to them for non supply of C-Form for previous years as some of Purchasing Dealers of other States have closed their Businesses and it is difficult to collect C-Form from them.

As special circumstances and as one time measure, relief should be given to the Traders of City on the Punjab pattern.

AETC ensured his Co-operation and Advised the Delegation to take up the issue with Senior Officials of the Department as well as with the Administrator.

A Delegation of CBM will now soon call on Finance Secretary and the Administrator to take up the matter further for early implementation.
