CHANDIGARH: Following the call of School education minister Punjab and Sangrur MLA Vijay Inder Singla, majority of the panchayats in Sangrur have already initiated the process to reject anti-farmer bills passed by Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha recently. Mr. Vijay Inder Singla told that he was already in touch with panchayats representatives and sensitized them about the draconian laws introduced by the BJP led Modi government.
Mr Singla welcomed the decision of Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann and his party to join his campaign and also requested all other parties to come forward to help Punjab government in getting passed resolutions from all villages through Gram Sabhas of state.
“Though the local MP raised his voice against the bill after many days, now this rage of farmers, arhtiyas, laborers and other sections of the society forced him to launch a campaign. Most of the villages in Sangrur have already started the process to call Gram Sabha as the villagers have been regularly protesting against these black bills following the call of Congress party. I along with my team have been in touch with members of Panchayats through whatsapp and phone calls. I would extend my full support to all politicians, who want to join our campaign of calling Gram Sabhas across the state and there should not be any politics over it” “said Mr Singla.
The cabinet minister informed that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed to save the interests of the farmers, arhtiyas and laborers and CM has always taken stand in favor of the betterment and development of Punjab. He added that the Congress party will never allow any political outfit to loot the people to assist their corporate friends by imposing draconian laws.
