24 LAKH STUDENTS ARE BEING EXPOSED TO DEADLY CORONA PANDEMIC BY MODI: AKSHAY

SAYS MODI HAS BLOOD OF STUDENTS ON HIS HANDS, DEMANDS IMMEDIATE POSTPONEMENT OF NEET/JEE EXAMS

CHANDIGARH: Targeting the PM for his anti-student policies, Punjab  NSUI president Askhay Sharma on Thursday said future of 24,00,000 students is being jeopardised by Modi who when it comes to himself says Jaan hai to jahaan hai. 

Taking out a protest march here alongwith Amritsar NSUI youth vice president Vivaan, Shobit Babbar and Rajiv Chhabra outside BJP office after burning effigies of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Akshay Sharma said Modi is forcing students to be exposed to deadly Corona pandemic, which has claimed more than 8 lakhs lives worldwide. In view of our safety or lives of student brothers and sisters, I demand immediate postponement of both NEET and JEE for the time being, Akshay asserted. 

We are adding 70,000 infections daily in our country and we have lost more than 50 thousand lives already to this deadly disease, Akshay said what if there cases spike again after the exam. 

Who will be responsible if even one of the students get Covid during to Modi’s policies, Akshay asked. Our PM sadly has blood of students in his hand, he said referring to suicide committeed by a young student in Tamil Nadu last week to protest against holding of these exams. 

Besides, there are genuine logistical problems like transport in states which are flooded. Bihar, Assam and West Bengal are inundated with flood waters, Akshay said adding asking students from those areas to come out for exams is atrocious under these circumstances. 

Prominent amongst NSUI members who joined the protest included Jaypee, Vivaan, Shobit Babbar and Rajiv Chhabra.
